Don’t you agree that journaling is the best practice? Don’t worry, I will not ask whether you are practicing it or not.
I wanted to put my thoughts together for long time. But, I wasn’t clear what to put and what not to; where and how? Thought of starting at some point and I signed up on this blog in 2014. However, not practiced as planned.
I started with small posts on Facebook by sharing some inspiring quotes with my views. Later was sharing some insights as and when pop up.
When I joined Toastmasters in 2015 and I was elected as Vice President – Public Relations for my club, I was forced to be in lime light through social media in order to showcase our club achievements. Later, this has been continued on my personal and even more when I completed my NLP training.
Have been putting my thoughts here in this blog and last year I challenged myself to post 100 gratitude posts on my Facebook in a series from 28 May 2019 to 4th September 2019. It cleared my fear on writing and boosted my confidence to do more.
This morning I was writing something and it reveled the hidden dimension of myself to me. It’s much clearer to me why it is important to have journaling.
A good friend once shared a very valuable insight on having thoughts and holding thoughts. When an idea pops in our mind we hold it and when we jot it down we will have the idea. We can’t hold our ideas for longs so it’s highly advisable to document it.
A father consulted a life coach and requested to work on his son’s shyness and introvert nature to make him ready for competent world. When coach asked, the boy had consented on his nature and readiness to change for his betterment.
Life coach said, you need to work for me my by in order to coach you on your issues. Boy agreed and he was kept on a public survey campaign in the town. 3 months later the boy came to the coach’s office and asked when do you start working on my shyness?
Life coach asked, are you still feel shy and an introvert? Boy amazed to notice his new behavior of approaching people without any shyness.
Above is an example of content free coaching. we no need to know why it is bothering and from where. As long as you know it for yourself and wanted to change your response and generate new behaviour we can do it through NLP.
This morning when i was writing on some notes, a ray of thought revealed me series of incidents and it’s consequences and the behaviour I chose to show to my audience at various stages. A content free self coaching 🙂
In summary writing is what I always wanted to do, stopped by my fear towards articulation of thoughts and command on language and I overcame through practice without much focus on alleviating my fear. But, with focus on improvement and pursuing passion.
What are you passionate about and are you working at subconscious level to change the behaviour which is not working for your good?
